Born and raised in Denver, Carrie has an extensive background in living through experience and education. She earned her first Bachelors Degree in Cultural Anthropology in 2010, giving her a foundation for research-based design. Earning her second degree from Cornish College of the Arts in Interior Architecture summa cum laude in 2017 has focused her intentions on how to be both a designer and a humanitarian.
She is an active member on IIDA and volunteered for 2 years on the Puget Sound Campus Center Counsel, holding the Membership Chair position for one of those years. She is also becoming increasingly involved with Architects Without Boarders and Journeyman International, hoping to work on projects abroad which positively effect change in under-represented communities. Carrie thrives in fast-paced work environments which combine a balance of team collaboration and individually-led projects. Her work ethic and time management skills were exemplified in her final year of school when she worked +30 hour weeks in addition to completing her thesis and a separate studio project. Looking forward to working abroad eventually as well as earning a Masters, Carrie actively works on expanding her skills in Space Programing and Urban Design. |
